Escape The Darkness

Escape the darkness is a first person horror/thriller game involving a person trying to defeat a monster while trapped in a laminal space with eerie realities. The game follows the main theme of duality in that it is a symbolization of the Abject, a feeling incurred by treading on a plane between two conceptual borders. For this reason the game occurs in an abandoned hospital maze with repetitive rooms/paths that are never quite the same and involve a character who caries a flashlight in a well lit room while chanting Latin prayers to electric switches.
[How to play]
Use the keys WSDA to move, use Shift to run ( you will need that, trust me), use the key E to interact with the levers to burn the enemy.
[Objective]
Burn the enemy 8 times, by triggering the levers, before it catches you.

If you pass it, please comment this page. I think the game is impossible to win, or at least very difficult.

This is brilliant!
It really captures the unique 2010s style of horror games and the design for it, just super addictive and fun. I really enjoyed this, although the AI can be balanced, but overall, just pure gold. Well done.

I have created this in 48h for a Game Jam and I did not have time to tune the AI. However, it is winnable! The AI is strong but you can win the game, it is hard though.
